At Ochsner LSU Health, we understand that blood in the urine, or hematuria, is a critical sign not to be overlooked, often indicating early stages of urinary cancer or kidney disease. Our approach towards addressing hematuria is comprehensive and patient centered.

In-house lab studies are conducted to identify any infections, followed by further investigations such as CT scans, cytology, and cystoscopy, when necessary, all performed within our facility for your convenience and cost-effectiveness.

Regardless of the cause of hematuria, we're equipped to provide prompt evaluations, outpatient procedures, and immediate treatment plans. These can range from antibiotics for infections, lithotripsy for stones, to high-tech endoscopic or robotic laparoscopic surgeries for genitourinary cancers.
