Ochsner LSU Health opened its St. Mary Medical Center campus in 2019. The campus features several fully renovated clinics, a dedicated wing for inpatient women and children services, as well as a surgery center and diagnostic imaging center, including our Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center, with new, state-of-the-art equipment. Ochsner LSU Health – St. Mary Medical Center is located on St. Mary Place, just off Marycrest Avenue in Shreveport. St. Mary Medical Center received a Hospital Safety Grade A for the Spring 2024 from The Leapfrog Group. This accomplishment recognizes our commitment to excellence, patient safety and quality care. We've also earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Advanced Certification in Perinatal Care (ACPC) by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards.
